Essence Purples!!

 

Okay, here are the other swatches I did very quickly last weekend. I also purchased about 3 additional Essence polishes, including a gold and a black, but did not try them on yet. 

Index finger to pinky: lavender ("No More Drama" 27), a shimmery medium purple ("Break Through" 26), a darker purple ("Plum Perfect" 28), and a dark pink red ("So Glamourous" 11).

Quick Essence Swatches: 1 Green 1 Yellow and 2 Blues!

 

 Y"all, I am so SORRY! I did not mean to take this long to post the rest of my quick Essence swatches. Gee, if I am going to take THIS long I might as well start over and do actual GOOD ones, lol! 

So, index to pinky, I have the yellow ("Sundancer" 23), green ("Check Me Out" 18), sparkly turquoise ("Pool Party" 17), and dark blue ("Underwater" 24).

Quickie Essence Swatches - Oranges and Pinks

  

I tried on most of the Essence mini polishes that I got from ULTA, and I've divided it up into color families. Today I have the oranges and pinks that I got. (Oops, I will have to update this post later with the specific names of the polishes!)

Aren't these colors HOT!!?? I found they applied nicely, although I haven't attempted more than just bushing on crude swatches. They are also pretty opaque, with the pictures showing a couple of coats and a tiny bit of visible nail line peeking out. I'll have some more pictures of the purply ones and an assortment of green, yellow, and two blues!!!

Essence Eye Candy!!

 

I was excited that German cosmetics company Essence was coming to ULTA in April, according to something I had read.  Well, I was pleased as punch to get the tweet that Essence was in ULTA stores NOW! It was at the end of a long day Friday, and I immediately shut down my laptop and ran quickly to ULTA to check it out. Well, I called first, one must be prudent even when one is being rash.

Essence makes cute, inexpensive products, and I was thrilled with the super-cute little polish bottles. They hold .16 oz. or .5 ml and come in an array of bright, hot colors. At 99 cents apiece, all except 3 or 4, skipping some pinks and maybe a red, came home with me!!

I've been playing around with these polishes: they apply very well, and the little caps have nice, flat brushes that work very well for their size. I can't wait to wear these fun, bright colors this spring and summer!!!!
